This map was first engraved for jodocus hondius ii. It was among the copperplates purchased by blaeu in 1629 after hondius ii's death in that year. The map has the imprint of willem blaeu as the printer and publisher at the bottom left (guiljelmus blaeuw excudit). The map depicts the moluccan islands of ternate, tidore, machian, bachian, motir and potterbackers, famous for their clove production. It bears many similarities to the hondius-jansson map of the same name. Willim blaeu, in fact gives jodocius hondius as the source. Date: between 1640 and 1655.
