Well, i wanted to do add a sound to my recording of a chicken in a barn. I put the mic (zoom h2 - 4ch-around) outside on the ground and threw some corn around it, so that the chickens will walk around it and hopefully make some noise. The chickens are very chilled, so there are just clucking smoothly and you can hear them walking around. Further there some flies flying close to the mic, some birds and stuff. . . :-).
Recorded on an iphone on a trip to the philippine island of dumaguete. Early morning ambiance dominated by the incredible amount of chickens on the island.
A chicken yard in the transsylvanian village of țichindeal/romania. Some 300 chickens, along with 2 pigs and some geese are going about their business, a farmhand can be heard filling a water trough at the beginning. Slightly more wide-angle than the two other chicken yard recordings. Recorded with a rode nt-sf1 and matrixed to stereo.
Wind through reeds, some insects, mother chicken with chicks, chicken sounds close, rooster crows from time to time, sparrow chirps, chicken has laid an egg and announce it loudly. Recorded with zoomh2n, mallorca.
In order, my partner intervenes when a "big" guy is about to strike a girl. The one intervened-upon takes a step forward and my partner steps back. The other guy utters these recorded words. They were the last intelligible sounds from his mouth until some time after, presumably, he was horizontally loaded into this pretty red and white van with flashing lights. A fight? not really.
This is a sound effect of one of the chickens on my farm. As far as i know, it means that a chicken wants to lay an egg (or is happy and content). Thanks for checking this out, and be sure to listen to some of my other sound effects!. P. S. I request that all my sound effects only be used for clean, appropriate media and projects. Thanks!.
A barred rock hen's guttural scream. Short and soft in tone, but high-pitched. Recorded using a microphone placed inside a nest box. Best used as a simple creature sound effect.
Not only do chicken carcasses make a tasty stock they also make great sounds when you mangle them about a bit!. Various squelching and squishing sounds with the occasional bone snap. No processing except small fade in/out. This one has a really annoying breath noise on the mic at the best bit unfortunately.
Egg arrival announcements and some rooster. The reverb is natural with the mic 10m away and the coop surrounded by trees creating an amphitheatre effect.
