Sor Caputagn Nasotra

Sor Caputagn Nasotra

Male grotesque: sor caputagn nasotra note: the drawing is assigned to a follower of leonardo. Giulio bora (1989) attributes the drawing to a milanese artist, and franco paliaga (1995) and franco moro (2016) suggest that it may be by giovanni paolo lomazzo. The drawing is based upon leonardo's prototype (chatsworth, no. 825 b and spencer collection [nypl], ii, 25). The drawing is noted by dante isella (1993) as representing one of the members of the accademia della val di blenio. Silvio mara (2010) reconstructs a libro di disegni, owned by federico borromeo, which contained this drawing and almost 200 others. Medium: drawing. Collection: Pinacoteca Ambrosiana.
