Painting of the nun hillegond gerritsdr, who became a nun in the st anna cloister of haarlem ca 1530. She was probably marten van heemskerck's sister-in-law. She was a wealthy catholic and is portrayed with a rosary. When she died she left all of her possessions, including this painting, to the hofje van codde and beresteyn, where it hung for centuries in the regent's room.
