Heinrich Heine an Caroline Jaubert 1846-02-06, Heinrich Heine, 6 February 1846

Brief heinrich heine an caroline jaubert, (paris), 6. Februar 1846. "my very good and very pretty friend! i thank you for your two little letters, for these hummingbirds which buzz so pleasantly around my ears. They are scented with all the flowers of your soul. You are a witch and you guessed right: my illness got worse, i was sick, sicker than usual. I don't know yet if the cerebral irritation from which i am suffering at the moment allows me to dine with you on sunday - i can only let you know this on sunday morning and then if you still want me i will come. . . ". Date: 6 February 1846.
