Plate 38: in the foreground, two zoauves, standing, brandishing firearms, wearing short blue loose fitting jackets with a red design, green turbans wound around red hats (?) with a blue tassel, red pantaloons, yellow leggings and white gaiters, rucksacks with a rolled up item on top, daggers at their sides; the figure to left has a flask or gourd hanging at his waist, the figure to right has yellow trim on his jacket and a bayonet fitting on his firearm hand-coloured lithograph.
