Excerpt from the kilian plan of augsburg, engraved in copper in eight parts in 1626 by wolfgang kilian based on the measurements of christoph schissler (as of around 1600). The excerpt shows the area of the city fortifications around the red gate wall, with the wide water-filled city moat, the aqueduct bridge to the red gate, the waterworks at the red gate with the large water tower and the box tower. Elias holl's holy spirit hospital is already marked on this plan, although it was only in the planning stage or still under construction at the time. Date: 1626.
