Westminster a view of westminster from the thames. Wyllie has rendered the boats on the thames in sharp relief, and has portrayed the buildings in the background with a cloudy grey quality, which provides an atmospheric portrayal of london smog. Cranes are dotted across the south bank, an area which now houses the london eye. Technique includes roulette work.;signed by artist. W. L. Wyllie (1851-1931) was a british marine artist. Born in london, wyllie painted, drew, and etched thames scenes throughout his life. He moved to portsmouth in 1907, where he continued working, supported the restoration of the victory and painted the trafalgar panorama.
