On the shores of the albufera, a natural lagoon near valencia, a hunting party meets as it was an exceptional place for falconry. Rich locals, elegant gentlemen and their servants are distributed in various groups. The work was part of a series of views of spanish ports commissioned by charles iv of spain, when he was still prince of asturias, to mariano sánchez, who was unable to finish it due to illness.
