Portrait of the spanish architect vicente marzo (1763-1826), who studied at the royal academy of fine arts of san carlos in valencia and where he received the title of honorary architect in 1788. In 1801 he replaced vicente gascó as director of the architecture studies of said academy, and from 1805 he held the position of general director of the academy of san carlos, until 1814, the year in which he was named honorary academician. The sitter wears the uniform of an academic from the academy of san carlos and appears to be around fifty years old, since the canvas was probably executed around 1820. Object Type: painting.
