Plate numbered 10, vespasianus: in the foreground, a statue of vespasian on horseback, in full armour; the pedestal decorated with scenes of two omens predicting his elevation to emperor; on the near end of the pedestal, a statue of caesar turns towards the east as galba passes on his way to an election, on the side of the pedestal, to the right, a stray dog and an ox burst into a feast attended by vespasian; in the background, to the right, a blind man and a lame man approach the emperor vespasian in the hope of being healed; to the left, three airborne eagles, representing vespasian, otho and vitellius, fight engraving.
