Vice-Admiral Sir Andrew Mitchell, 1757-1806, Lemuel Francis Abbott, circa 1795-1803

Vice-admiral sir andrew mitchell, 1757-1806 a half-length portrait facing left and wearing a vice-admiral's undress uniform, 1795-1812, with the star and ribbon of a knight bachelor. As a flag officer under admiral duncan, in the north sea, he received the surrender of the remains of the dutch fleet in the vlie in 1799.
