Spring: in foreground, to left, musicians, seated on a platform, play on lour musical instruments mostly shawms and a tambourine; to right a group of women and children, viewed from behind, process holding garlands of flowers, while in the centre, others dance in a ring; beyond, a procession with men playing musical instruments and heading by a person carying a lady's smock, approaches through an archway in the garden; to left, a horse-drawn carriage; the whole set within an oval; personifications of spring fill the four corners of the rectangle framing the oval engraving.
