Cent print with a lithograph consisting of 4 x 4 framed images, with scenes from the life of tijl uilenspiegel: he falls into a pond, is stolen in a beehive, the thieves start fighting, tyl sticks out his tongue at passers-by, feeds chickens with balls on a rope, loses a court case and ends up in jail. He buys all the milk at a market but does not pay. An uprising arises and tyl is sentenced to the gallows. He is forgiven and banished. At a hairdresser's he breaks windows, at a baker's he makes animals from the dough. His legacy consists of stones. Contains two-line captions in dutch and french. Object Type: Catchpenny print.
