Two studies of warships and a sectional diagram of clinker planking RMG PV0065, William Lionel Wyllie, circa 1910 ?

Two studies of warships and a sectional diagram of clinker planking the grey wash studies of twin-funnelled warships on a pale blue wash background are not identifiable, though they appear to be of considerable size with ram bows. The pencil section lower left may be related to an archaeological find since its shows part of a vessel's rib with clinker planking attached and a related angle diagram with significantly large dimensions noted. (that said, it is not related to either the woolwich ship found in 1912, nor the 'grace dieu' in the hamble - both of which were known to wyllie. ). Date: circa 1910 ?. Dimensions: 251 mm x 353 mm. Collection: Fine art.
