Two boats with men in them a rapid sketch showing, on the left, six men in a boat, four of whom are hauling a net or possibly lobster pots. In the centre is a smaller rowing boat (apparently drawn to a different scale rather than as part of the same composition) with a single oarsman. The drawing is inscribed in brown ink, in the lower left: ‘w. V. V j’. Two boats with men in them. Date: circa 1675. Dimensions: Primary support: 105 mm x 218 mm; Mount: 317 mm x 482 mm.
