Two sketches of soldiers setting up a gun RMG PV1291, William Lionel Wyllie, circa 1914

Two sketches of soldiers setting up a gun original art: drawing. Two studies on one sheet, apparently showing the same or similar coastal defence emplacements, though the upper drawing (largely in pencil) includes a flag and that in watercolour below does not and shows the gun painted with dazzle camouflage, which suggests both are first world war subjects. [pvdm 6/13]. Date: circa 1914. Dimensions: 253 mm x 357 mm. Collection: Fine art.
