Ivan makarov. "portrait of chelishcheva". 1850-60s (?). Oil on canvas. Tretyakov gallery. Previously published as an image of alexandra mikhailovna chelishcheva, née verigina (1816-1913) and dated 1865. In the tretyakov gallery catalogue (2001) it was published without initials and undated. It came to the tretyakov gallery collection from the russian museum in 1931, where it came from the collection of e. N. Bryullova, and according to other sources - m. K. Chelishcheva. No family ties have been found between the chelishchevs and the bryullovs. The artist's grandson mentions a portrait of the artist chelishchev's wife, "varvara alekseyevna, née zagoskina". The artist chelishchev's wife was praskovya alekseyevna, née zagoskina. Perhaps further study of the information about the existence of the portrait will allow us to establish the name of the person depicted (exhibition catalogue). Date: 19th century.
