The annunciation by tiziano vecellio is a painting (oil on canvas, 281. 5 x 193. 5 cm) located in naples in the capodimonte museum (inv. S. N. ), in the neapolitan gallery. The painting, which is not part of the farnese collection, but comes from the church of san domenico maggiore in naples, from the chapel founded by cosimo pinelli in 1557, is from the cult buildings fund. The work which was for a long time believed to be the copy that luca giordano made for a viceroy, and which is today conserved in madrid, belongs to the last phase of titian's activity, characterized by a slow process of disintegration of the plastic form under the action of light and disintegration of the chromatic fabric.
