Three seated figures RMG PV5185, circa 1655

Three seated figures on the right a man is seated on an upturned basket facing a woman seated on the left. Behind them another man is seated, shown in back view and more faint. The unsigned drawing’s stylistic resemblance to drawings of similar subjects from the milford collection, now at the nmm, suggest a tentative attribution to willem van de velde, the elder, and a date of about 1655.
