A companion print to bmsats 8228-30. Beneath the title of each print the relevant quotation from 'st. Luke xv' is engraved. The hall of a country-house; a waiting coach with two servants is seen through the open door (right). A young man in riding-dress takes leave of his mother. A weeping young woman (left) and the father (right) complete the group. A carpet and pilastered walls give an impression of luxury. 1792 mezzotint with hand-colouring. Date: 1792.
