The dutch fleet becalmed to the right, a starboard bow view of a flagship with three boats towing her head round to starboard. On the left is a port bow view of a flute. A number of ships are in the background. This is a pencil drawing by the younger, with a little wash. It is signed in brown ink ‘w. V. Vj. ’ the dutch fleet becalmed. Date: circa 1665.
