Winter landscape with the holy family resting in a stable outside an inn in lower right, an angel pointing at the virgin with child, a large tree at centre with a frozen river beyond, the holy family seen again on a road at left; zodiacal sign of aquarius at top centre; letterpress in black and red ink above impression and on verso plate 1 in a series of engravings, the twelve months, showing the months with scenes from the new testament and french text underneath.
