Two studies of the left hand of erasmus of rotterdam; study of the right hand writing. Silverpoint, black crayon and red chalk on grey-primed paper, 20. 6 × 15. 3 cm, louvre, paris. This sketch, along with one of the right hand, can be linked with holbein's portrait of erasmus with renaissance pilaster.
