The rue pierre lescot is located in paris' 1st arrondissement, in the halles neighborhood. Though the entire street that currently holds this name was constructed in 1883, part of it was built earlier. The street seen in the image was created in 1852 as the rue des halles-centrales. Its name was changed to rue pierre lescot in 1865. It borders not only the current location of les halles, but also the square des innocents to the south, across the rue berger. The square was built in 1858. Previously, it was an open market, which dated from 1788. In the square itself, one can see a fountain, the fontaine des innocents. Date: between 1875 and 1882. Dimensions: 24 x 30 cm. Medium: lithograph. Collection: Brown University Library. Square des innocents, 1878. Maisons construites en 1860, Rue Pierre Lescot
