the former (nieuwe) baangracht (nieuwe lijnbaansgracht), seen towards the lock in the nieuwe zeedijk, now the eastern end of the hoogte kadijk (at the current numbers 410-414). At the front right is the stadsmagazijn, with a boy with a kite next to it. In the background on the left are the buildings along the oostenburgergracht. The dome is from the oostindisch zeemagazijn. The authorship of the drawing is uncertain, possibly simon fokke or p. C. La fargue. Technique: pen and brush in gray, on very heavy paper. Investigation into the provenance of this work has shown that the owner may have had to remove it involuntarily as a result of the nazi regim. Document type: drawing
