A) vertical rectangle, two widths joined, giving two and one-half repeats. Arabesque of large acanthus rinceaux, tulips and wiry scrolls, with perching peacocks whose tails hang downward; b) same design as "a" but one width and incomplete repeat; in green, blue and brown on dark blue ground. Date: 1889. Dimensions: H x W: 152 x 111 cm (59 13/16 x 43 11/16 in.). Medium: block-printed, paper. Collection: Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum.
