Sheerness RMG PU7883, Henry Moses, 1 October 1824

Sheerness print from moses' 'sketches of shipping', entitled 'sheerness'. Signed dated and inscribed by the artist. If the industrial buildings on the left are a correct indication, sheerness dockyard may lie in that direction, making this a view across and broadly up the medway from the isle of grain towards blackstakes, with much naval shipping including vessels laid up in ordinary (reserve). Sheerness. Date: 1 October 1824. Dimensions: Sheet: 192 x 277 mm. Collection: Green Blackwall collection.
