Several studies of late-victorian torpedo boats at sea three studies on a single sheet, signed by artist, lower right. The upper part of the drawing appears to be of torpedo boats, with one above as a separate thumbnail sketch: the middle, of torpedo craft running at speed towards a larger vessel flying flags on the left, which might be the royal yacht 'victoria and albert iii' seen in stern view - which would suggest the whole sheet is of some form of exercise; and the lower part shows torpedo boats approaching at speed in bow view. All are first- or second-class torpedo boats of the late victorian era, probably around 1895-1900. Date: circa 1895-1900. Dimensions: 251 mm x 353 mm. Collection: Fine art.
