Full-length portraits of two women standing in alsatian costume. The one on the left is seen in left profile, hands on hips. She wears a headdress in checkered fabric from kochersberg/hanau country and a fringed shawl. The woman on the right is seen from three-quarter front. She wears a peasant costume, the front of her dress is half open and the sleeves of her shirt are rolled up. She holds a large wooden basin in her hands. Date: 1858.
