Description synagogue talmud torah, waterlooplein 33-37/39 (on the site of later numbers 17-41, after 1983 131-167) facade of the portuguese synagogue talmud torah, inaugurated in 1639 and decommissioned in 1675 (from 1630-1639 the house synagogue of the beth israel community). The gate under the balcony gave access to the synagogue via the basement. The galleries were probably accessible via the entrances to the left and right of the gate. Technique: etching.
