The disciples place the body of christ in the tomb. One of them, left, supports him about the waist; another, right, holds the legs. In the foreground, st. John is on his knees, his back to the viewer. He places his arm about the virgin, who is standing beside him. Date: circa 1485. Dimensions: 16.4 x 11.6 cm (6 7/16 x 4 9/16 in.).
