Title page to a tract entitled "grafschrift door marforio over een der vaders van jaquet bandyt", no. 11 in the series entitled "esopus in europa"; in the centre, an etching showing the statue of marforio, with one arm and a placard attached to his chest, addressing the mournful james francis edward, old pretender. James is dressed in royal robes and holds a rosary, money falls from bags at his waist labelled "macht/beloft", a crown and sceptre lie at his feet and four winds blow from boys' heads around his head. In the centre is an arch surmounted by statues of defeated soldiers, from which fall the scales of justice; on the left is a relief of perseus and andromeda, and a pyramid (?) rises above lettered "pollutis sacr. . ". Through the archway can be seen the invalides. 1701
