A portrayal of the place du parvis in 1865. Located near the notre-dame cathedral, it once served as a market and gathering place, as well as a place for criminals to publicly repent. It underwent numerous architectural changes throughout the centuries; originally elevated and enclosed, its access was limited during the middle ages. Date: between 1875 and 1882.
