1929. Bookplate for louis blanc. Pierre blanc executed this property mark for his son louis (1905-1931), lieutenant in the french army and resident administrator of the territory of tamchakett in mauritania. The drawing shows a camel rider crossing the sahara on the back of a dromedary. In the background we see the palms of an oasis. The drawing is topped by a text in arabic, which means “my happiness on the back of kabemah (name of the dromedary)”, the motto of the camel riders. (digitized work). Date: 1929.
