Cart with nomads, oil on canvas, 90 × 130 cm, signed and dated upper right, in brown, octav băncilă, 1921. "cart with nomads" captures the moment of the journey of a gypsy family under the blue sunset sky, they are neither peasants nor workers. He finds in the depths of their lives no trace of gaiety and calls attention to their rights. The shades of earth, blue, burgundy and red, dark and erased, convey a sadness that the gypsy family is already used to. This very evening run with the wagon has a melodiousness characteristic only of an inner, desperate cry.
