This is page 2 and the text, in wyllie's hand, here begins 'so they fought, explored, discovered' and ends 'we, alas, have none of theirs'. It relates to other studies for this poem: see paf0661. Another set of versions are nos. Paf0929-paf0932. The illustration at top left here showing an assault on a spanish or portuguese carrack, has an annotation by the artist:'this smaller'.
