Plate numbered 8, otho: in the foreground, statue of otho on horseback, in full armour, viewed from behind; the pedestal decorated with a scene of otho attending the emperor galba as he offers sacrifice, while another cartouche displays otho running towards a military camp where he was proclaimed emperor, having dismounted from a sedan chair; in the background, to the right, otho commits suicide in his bed; while to the left, soldiers commit suicide around otho's funeral bier, before a military camp.
