an informal self-portrait drawing of the marine painter nicholas pocock in middle life, perhaps made around 1790 after he had moved from bristol to london. This drawing may have been made using a mirror on the paper that pocock is shown holding, which might suggest that he was left-handed though more evidence for this would be needed.
