Caption in the brandenburgia: "premier(e) vue du chateau royal et de la ville & lorangeri et environs prise de la montagne de la brasserie, vis a vis de sanssouci. The incorrect caption is taken from the original engraving, which is published here for the first time. The view includes the garrison church, the lustgarten, the castle, st. Catherine's church (later st. Nicolai), and the town hall. The column head resting in the sand in front is a remnant of the former cascade system, next to it a lively hunting group, to the left the royal brewery. " leipziger straße; the colonnade connecting the castle and the stables is overlooked by the plögerschem inn, in front of the trees in the lustgarten is the former engine for the waterworks, used as a powder magazine under frederick william i, to the right over the havel is the long bridge with the teltow gate.
