Marie Antoinette 1778-1783, Élisabeth Louise Vigée Le Brun, between 1778 and 1779
Marie antoinette in two paintings by elisabeth vigée le brun. One (on the left) made in 1778, the other (on the right) made in 1779. In the second portrait you can see the new haircut adopted after the birth of the daughter: the birth had made the hairline much more delicate, which therefore could no longer be styled in an elaborate manner and above all could not be subjected to strong stress; a new hairstyle was thus created by the hairdresser léonard, especially for the queen. Date: between 1778 and 1779.
