Portrait of mary joan baptist of savoy-nemours (1644-1724), who was the daughter of charles amadeus of savoy-nemours, duke of nemours, and duchess consort of savoy by her marriage to duke charles emmanuel ii of savoy. In this portrait the model wears a rich blue velvet ermine dress and mantle embroidered in gold. On the edge of the mantle, roses and the lasca knot alternate, known as the knot of love and friendship, symbols of the ducal house of savoy. Object Type: painting. Date: 1702.
