Lilien Pharao, Ephraim Moses Lilien, 1914

Pharao. The king has the features of merneptah, the pharao who has been identified as the exodus pharao if a late date is accepted. The throne is depicted after the original throne. It was custom to depict representants of subdued peoples in chains beside the throne. The depicted gods are: sechmet, isis and horos. The kinghas on his head the double crown of upper and lower egypt. At the top right is the name of the king "merneptah". Below the last of the plagues, every firstborn son is found dead. Date: 1914.
