Portrait of the spanish miniaturist teresa nicolau parodi (1817-1895), who was the daughter of isidro nicolau y puig, honorary secretary of the king and senior officer of the madrid party, and doña concepción parody, daughter of the consul general of the two sicilies in spain. She learned to paint in oils with vicente lópez, and became one of the best spanish miniaturists of the 19th century, an academic of honor and merit at the royal academy of fine arts of san fernando and also of the royal academy of fine arts of san carlos in valencia.
