Second version of plate "la bicycliste", taken from the section on parisian gallantry in la parisienne peinte par elle-même. The second version without lettering includes a small caricature printed in brown ink in the top left corner of the page. Semi-satire on the new-fangled "bicycle suit" that women were starting to wear in order to ride the newly-invented safety bicycle. Date: 1897. Medium: engraving. Collection: Brown University Library.
