Cent print with 5 x 4 framed woodcuts, with images from the life of a villain who does not want to be good: he falls out of the cradle, gets a beating and is chased out of school. Then he apprentices with a baker and a tailor, but that doesn't work out. He becomes a soldier, deserts and is imprisoned. He escapes and joins a gang, is captured, escapes again, kills a merchant, is shipwrecked and finally ends up guillotined. Contains two-line rhyming captions in dutch and french.
