Gods from top left to right bottom:sun god apollo, flying neptune ? with reconciling gesture, a smiling diana with a moon image on her forehead, saturn with his scythe, athena (minerva) with helmet and lance, jupiter with lightning in hand, mercury with his red hat and staff opens the green curtain, the crippled vulcan seen from behind, his left foot on a stone, cupid with bow and arrow aiming at mercury (who indeed comes to desire venus in the story), mars with hat turning back and protesting mercury, venus with her face averted seeming in shame.
