Ivan Enchev-Vidyu Bulgarian Folk Crosses 463, 30 August 1917

463. Cross with angels, made in relief on a marble slab with bulgarian inscription and date 1869. The cross is four-winged. Its lower wing is several times longer than the others, and its lower end ends in a broad base. The ends of the remaining wings are flared outward and pointed arching. In the upper two corners between the wings, two rosettes are made in relief, to the left and right of the cross are carved in relief two flying angels, each carrying a palmette. From the city garden of kyustenja. Dimensions of the cross without the angels: height 30 cm; width 15 cm and thickness above the background 6 mm. Crafting thin; drawing symmetrical and naive. Sketched on 30. Vш. 1917. (t. 7, obr. 22. ). Date: 30 August 1917.
