Ivan Enchev-Vidyu Bulgarian Folk Crosses 87, July 1916

87. Hurka made of crosses, worked on a railway near cherepish station, vrachansko, by a soldier. It is divided into 2 parts: a cone and a stick. The first is cut from willow and the second from ash. The cone is a circle in which there are 4 wheels; in the last 2 (larger), there is 1 isosceles cross each, the wings of which expand outwards. A slit has been cut on the stick towards the upper end, into which the pin is inserted. Dimensions: cone diameter 12. 5 x 141 cm, shaft diameter 2 cm. Sketched in july 1916. (vol. 2, obr. 167)=.
