Ivan Enchev-Vidyu Bulgarian Folk Crosses 811, 7 October 1919

811. Tombstone with a cross in the cemetery of the town. Tatar pazardzhik, carved in 1833. Of marble. On her face are cut in relief a four-winged cross and broken with semicircular upper wings and with palmettes instead of rays in the corners; to the left and [to] the right of the cross a symmetrical ornament with leaves cut in relief. An inscription is engraved on the high field of the face, and below it is carved a niche for a lamp; on the sides of the niche are incised angles in order to give the face of the slab the shape of a cross. Dimensions: 49x30/28x9 cm; at the waist - 120x100x4 mm. Sketched on 7. H. 1919. (vol. 9, obr. 99. ). Date: 7 October 1919.
